Jeane - Smiths

La foto l'ho presa da un blogh che si intitola "dust on the stylus" e dall'occhiata che ci ho dato, tale blog gigioneggia un po' con la musica british, tipo smiths, billy bragg, david byrne ecc ecc.

Giustamente l'autore definisce la canzone "JEANE" degli smiths una "gemma perduta".

Vero dal momento che non è in nessun album - se non ricordo male.

La versione primigenia è nel lato B di "this charming man"... poi per sfiga sta canzone -

che non è brutta, anzi! - non è finita neanche nelle varie compilation postume.

E' rimasta un episodio isolato, anche se è stata "coverata" da molti, ultimo Pete Doherty.

Io ho riascoltato la versione di Sandie Shaw.

E' proprio una gran canzone; il testo è la solita perla illuminante di disperazione...
